Texas Children’s Art Project Scholarship Financial Aid College


These scholarships Financial Aid College are provided as encouragement, reward and enablement for the students chosen. Each scholarship is for one academic year with a requirement that at least 18 hours total are completed for the Fall and Spring semesters. Summers are not counted. Applicants must reapply for scholarships each year and may not receive assistance for more that a total of eight semesters (four years) of study.

All Financial Aid College applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 24 for Undergraduate and 21-30 for Graduate. The applicant must be a patient or former patient (before his/her 19th birthday) of The University of Texas M D Anderson Cancer Center. Applicants must have been admitted or plan to study at a United States regionally accredited or International recognized institution for the fall semester.

Schwallie Family Scholarship Program Financial Aid College

The Organization for Autism Research (OAR) holds an annual Schwallie Family Scholarship Competition Financial Aid College to support qualified individuals with autism or Asperger Syndrome residing in the United States pursuing post-secondary education. OAR will present awards of $ 3,000 each across three categories: 1) Four-year undergraduate college or university; 2) Two-year undergraduate college, and; 3) Trade, technical or vocational school. These will be one-time awards for any recipient.

Eligibility Details:

Any Financial Aid College individual with an established autism or Asperger Syndrome diagnosis and who will be attending an accredited institution of higher education in the United States for the Fall 2011/Spring 2012 semesters is eligible to apply. Eligible individuals need to be enrolled on at least a part-time basis (6 credits) or be working toward certification or accreditation in a particular field (e.g., studying to be a paralegal). Past recipients of a Schwallie Family Scholarship or immediate family members of any person serving on OAR’s Board of Directors or Scientific Council are not eligible to apply.

The Stacey Levitt Women and Sport Memorial Financial aid College

The Stacey Levitt Women and Sport Scholarship is in memory of a very special 18 year old woman who was struck down by a car while she was jogging on Aug. 30, 1995.

Stacey Levitt She was a superior athlete, a top student, and loved by many. She participated in sport for the sheer joy of the experience. She loved the camaraderie, the team work, and the competition and she displayed that love in many sports – swimming, scuba diving, tai kwon do, triathlon, gymnastics and jazz. Stacey always strived to be the best she could be, and filled her life with joy and meaning.

The Stacey Levitt Women and Sport Memorial Scholarship, valued at $2,500, is awarded annually to a young woman, a girls’ team, or a sport organization that exemplify Stacey’s ideals and qualities. The scholarship, which honours the memory of Stacey, is distributed among five recipients; each recipient will receive $500.

PLEASE NOTE: CAAWS will only be accepting applications between April 1, 2011 and May 31, 2011.
